This is probably the best and most accomplished symphonic album of the last 20 years. Perfect musicianship, sophisticated compositions and an intesity which can not be compared, make this album a masterpiece!

After the glowing review on Ken Golden's Laser's Edge site, I picked up the new disc from Ken at NearFest in June... I'm enjoying the disc (and the lavish booklets) immensely, some of the best symphonic rock I've heard this year. Quarante jours...and Satellite's disc are among my favorite slices of new progressive rock this year!

What's happening with prog concert organizers? Where are you all, in France, Italy, Germany, Belgium, UK?? Does anybody know about the great band we saw and listened playing live in a memorable night in Portugal last July 6th??? We took the "risk"! We won the bet! NIL are simply one of the best real progressive acts of today. Any doubts? Get them as soon as you can! Organizer's advice! ;-)))

I loved your concert !!! ...beautiful voice...superb guitar...fantastic keyboards...very secure and well played drums...and Samuel is one of the finest musicians i ever saw live...GREAT CONCERT !
The new songs you played in Gouveia BANGed my soul! "Quarante jours sur le Sinai" is already one of the best CDs i have... the next album will be in the same "small" group of albums that i know for sure that i will listen 20 years from now. Nil music don't have date/year. (it's great now...was great before...and will be great in the future) just keep on doing it please.

Votre CD est bien sympathique. Des fois on a l'impression d'entendre la sérénade d'une tronçonneuse, égarée entre de délicats riffs de basse ou de stick (j'avoue je suis un fan inconsidéré du bassiste... mais qui est-il vraiment, et d'où vient-il, son nom me dit quelquechose...). On a aussi le sentiment d'être porté par cette voix à la fois si rare et si familière. Nos routes se seraient-elles déjà croisées ? L'ensemble manque malgré tout un peu de solos d'harmonica (indéniable critique puisqu'il n'y en a pas !) Bref, à écouter d'urgence car il sera obsolète sous peu, à savoir dès la sortie du prochain album de Thork...

'Quarante Jours....' is very easy to love -- I think it will be my favorite album for 2003. Entre nous, I think I finally found a word for your achievement -- Magnifique! (Did I spell that correctly?) Keep up the good work - now I must try to find copies of 'NiL' and 'Nocturnes' because NiL is fantastic. I am a fan for life!

Excellent album, musiques et chants magiques...Sans flatterie j'adore votre album, c'est un fabuleux mélange de tout ce que j'aime dans le prog : rythmique groovy mais puissante, basse fretless, claviers climatiques et guitares "variées" (de robert fripp à enrico macias.....) BRAVO...Mon disque de chevet avec Gordian Knot, OSI et le DVD d'ozric tentacles.
